SEASTAR 5 INVADERS FROM THE ABYSS....is a Supermation StoryBook Series that was designed and created by Richard Dixon in October 2012 .

It was written in a fifteen episode TV Animated Series to be made using Model Animation Techniques .

The series did not proceed beyond the written stage and a fully illustrated photostory trilogy of the first three episodes .

In 2020-2021 Richard Dixon took the written series and created a fully illustrated storybook series of three books to be published , starting with the first episode , " Strange Encounter " on AmazonKindle in February 2023 .

This time though the illustrations which were done as model animation pictures originally have been transformed and re-shot with added realism with stop motion armature figurines on miniature landscape sets using "SUPERMATION PHOTOGRAPHIC FILTERS" designed by Richard Dixon on our cameras to give a retroart style artwork illustrations....it gives a wide cinema style visual experience for the viewer with realistic real backgrounds being used for the illustrations created at TPD STUDIOS Lancashire England .

Location island landscape photography for the series was created on the Indian Ocean Island of Mauritius , together with underwater backgrounds also being filmed by Richard Dixon in the waters around the island

The second book in the series is currently at the printers.....we are making some demo books to check things out before we proceed with a print run for sales to start....updates soon...

The third book in the series....SEASTAR 5 SEAFIGHTER has started filming on the Fylde coast in Lancashire....
