A new sci-fi supermation comics production. being created in Lancashire , England by Richard Dixon and his TPD STUDIO's Team based in the northwest of England .

A pilot concept story idea which I put together in 2017 .

The story is set in the year 2110 .....for the opening scenes....

This new sci-fi production is now in development for a 2026 supermation comicbooks release in shops across Lancashire England . 

Production work for the series is based at TPD STUDIOS in the North West of England .

Location photography for the production has been filmed near Thurso , Scotland in 2023 -2024 with panoramic backgrounds being produced for the scenes on the Planet DARANIA .

THE  INITIAL  CONCEPT.....INTRODUCTION.....and back story to set the scene......

The sea levels around the world's continents have risen beyond recognition with the melting of the ice in Antarctica following a period of climate change which has seen many land areas disappearing beneath the Oceans .

A future New York City is where our story begins  .

It is the year 2110 .

The City is now completely separated from the mainland with a huge wall built around it over the years for protection from the sea .

The East River has been partly built over with a new concrete land area which features canals , raised streets and high level walkways between buildings with new canals and other waterways covering old streets of the past .

A technological metropolis with robots , androids and artificial intelligence mech machines in every part of life .

To deal with ever growing problems of serious crime on the streets of this new Mega City Island  of New York , the Mayor asks the Police Service to increase its effectiveness as it battles the problems .

In the front line  the City's Police Force creates a special  unit , the MECH DEFENCE DIVISION .

They will patrol this city of the future....a new breed of police officers with high tech equipment and vehicles like the awesome CAT HAWC , an armoured land-water , hover tactical mobile unit able to go to most areas in and around the waterways of Little Venice in Babylon Village District in Lower East River Sector Three of the City .

Our story will begin with our hero MAGNUS JONES , a law man like no other .

His rank of ' police tactical assault trooper ' will see him patrol the area of MECH DEFENCE DIVISION SECTOR 3 , Lower East River , Babylon Village .

A future guardian of law enforcement with his high tech equipment bringing law to the streets and canals of New York Mega Island City in the year 2065 .

Its early morning , like any other day in the big mega city .

Magnus Jones wakes in his apartment at Clarkson Towers Complex .

He prepares for work and leaves the building to walk the short distance to his Cat Hawc unit parked in a secure area at the side of the apartment building .

Taking the unit out into the street and stopping by Sam's Coffee Shack to take his morning cup of coffee .

This day for him will turn out beyond anything he can imagine .

Mech Defence Division - HARBOUR POLICE STATION  receives an emergency call ...........an alarm at the Second National Securities Bank , Lower East Sixth Babylon Village.....the  robotic alarm system shows an intruder ....his unit is the nearest for the job .

Magnus Jones will answer the call which will lead him at the end of the day on a fantastic journey to a Galaxy far away across the Universe .

A journey for him with no known way back.....

The Planet DARANIA awaits this lawman from the planet Earth.....which he leaves in the 21st Century .....he will land on a rocky desert world with few inhabitants in the Constellation of Orion.....

Magnus Jones will soon find out that the journey back to his home world will not be an easy on to make.....as he searches through the deserts of DARANIA looking for a way of means to take him home to Earth , a new life for this stranger in an alien land is about to begin.....

Magnus Jones STARCOMMANDO , this will be the begining of a planned three part storyline over three supermation comicbooks which will release from Richard Dixon and his TPD STUDIOS Production Team which we hope to release from 2026 onwards.....
